About Our Society
The Alcorn County Genealogical Society
was formed in 1992. Our research library is located on the ground floor of the

Since our inception we have continued to add

census records for our surrounding area. Our officers and members extend a cordial invitation
for you to
join our society.
The fiscal year for the society runs from September 1st. through August 31st. Meetings are held
quarterly at our Library on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Meetings are held in
the months of March, May, September and November.
If there is inclimate weather at the normal times the meeting will be held the following
Tuesday.
We have a copy machine, microfilm reader/printer and a computer with CD-ROM.
