Earnest, Charlyne

Funeral services for Charlyne Bernice Earnest, 81, of Corinth, are set for 10 a.m. today at Hight Funeral Home with Chaplin Charles Coggins officiating. Burial will be at Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Earnest died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in Corinth. She was a master flower gardener and a gourmet cook who enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to country and western music and traveling with her husband. She worked in civil service with the U.S. military and had technical training with the military. She was also a dog trainer.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Sue Rogers; her parents, Tolbert and Blanche Smith; a brother, Lenny William Smith; and sisters Veatrice "Wes" Bullard, Lula Agnes "Bob" Fortenberry, Vodie Johnson, Clara Fortenberry Hall, Lucille "Locket" Mayhall, Marjorie Latzel and Sue Cole.
Survivors include her husband, Harold G. "Earnie" Earnest; one sister, Nell Sunderland; granddaughters Kristie R. Spencer and Amanda Rogers Dill; and great-grandchildren Jereme Johnson, Jenger Johnson and Rebecca Katharine Rogers Dill.
Pallbearers are Joshua Dill, Jereme Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Dale Fortenberry, Ronnie Mathis and Ronald Strom. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Joe Childers and Horace Yearber.
Visitation was Thursday night.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Ellsworth, William

William D. Ellsworth, 83, Route 6, Corinth, died Dec. 8 at Hospital after an extended illness.
Services were Sunday at 2 p.m. at Salem Christian Church with burial in Salem Cemetery with Rev. Hershel Duncan officiating.
He is survived by 2 sons, Billy Ellsworth and Brodie Ellsworth both of Corinth; 2 daughters, Mrs. Tissue Hancock, Corinth and Mrs. Lizzie Rodgers, Clarksdale, Miss. 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Robert Page, Larry Page, David Page, Bilbo Smith, Steve Smith, and T.B. Smith.
McPeters was in charge of arrangements.

Estill, Ernestine Rowsey

Ernestine Rowsey Estill was born June 16, 1914 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late George Washington and Mary Bell Phillips Rowsey. She was united in marriage to Hubert Estill, who preceded her in death on December 31, 2001. Mrs. Estill was retired from retail sales, and was a member of the Strickland Church of Christ in Corinth, Mississippi. She and Mr. Estill were married for 72 years prior to his death. One of her greatest joys in life was cooking for her family, who she loved very much. Mrs. Estill departed this life on May 2, 2006 in Iuka, Mississippi at the age of 91 Years, 10 Months, 16 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Nelda Killingsworth of Tupelo Mississippi; two sons Wayne Estill of Corinth Mississippi and Rabon Estill of Goodlettsville Tennessee; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Estill was preceded in death by a daughter, Ripple Gregory; a son Billy Frank Estill; a granddaughter, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
